Associate

Mun Yik is an Associate at D&P’s Corporate Practice Group. Her main areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, renewable project advisory, banking and finance and other corporate and commercial transactions.

Mun Yik has advised domestic and international clients across a broad spectrum of industries such as healthcare, property development, education, oil and gas and financial services.

Mun Yik has also acted as counsel to leading Malaysian banks on both bilateral and syndicated financing transactions (covering both Islamic and conventional finance), which includes debt capital market financing and other general banking finance matters.

Work Highlights

  • Advising RHB Investment Bank Berhad in relation to an Islamic medium term notes programme of up to RM3.0 billion pursuant to an Islamic medium term notes programme and Islamic commercial papers pursuant to an Islamic commercial papers programme of up to RM1.0 billion, which shall have a combined aggregate limit in nominal value of up to RM3.0 billion based on the Shariah principle of Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar by Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad.
  • Advising AmInvestment Bank Berhad, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and OCBC Bank Berhad in relation to the issuance of commercial papers pursuant to a commercial papers programme and medium term notes pursuant to a medium term notes programme with an aggregate combined limit of up to RM1.5 billion in nominal value by Pac Lease Berhad.
  • Advising CIMB Investment Bank Berhad in relation to the issuance of medium term notes of up to RM150.0 million in nominal value by Hanwha Q CELLS Malaysia Sdn Bhd, unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility, a Trust Fund of the Asian Development Bank.
  • Advising CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad in relation to an Islamic commercial papers programme for the issuance of Islamic commercial papers, which together with an Islamic medium term notes programme for the issuance of Islamic medium term notes, which have a combined limit of up to RM3.0 billion in aggregate nominal value by F&N Capital Sdn Bhd, guaranteed by Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd.
